Our mental health is a constant presence in our lives, just as physical health. It can be positive, or negative, healthy, or unhealthy. Taking time and care to focus on our actions regarding our mental health is essential for everyone. Awareness of taking care of our mental health has significantly increased in recent years from a societal level, but I have observed that individual attention to this issue is still lacking.
We often divert our energy in different ways without recognizing the potential harm or benefit our actions bring. Taking care of our mental health is a personalized endeavor. Going for a 20-minute walk, waking up 30 minutes before your family for uninterrupted time, setting social media limits, starting your day with water instead of coffee, cold plunges, and journaling are all effective practices to enhance our positive mental health.
Change in our lives will only happen if we make it happen. We, individually, are the most important project we will ever work on. H-hour Principle #5 states this very clearly: Do The Hard Work. Commit to the life you want, need, and desire.
